As we look back over the years of helping businesses achieve their organizational goals, some key moments made us the industry-leading IT services company that we are today.
When Paul started the company back in 1984, personal computing was just beginning to take off. No one could have predicted the role that technology would play in all our lives more than thirty years later. But from the very beginning, Paul was focused on helping customers leverage all the business benefit they could form their technology.
With the company beginning to see significant growth, it became apparent that we needed to expand our team to continue to deliver a high level of IT support to our increasing list of clients. We were fortunate that Scott Joralemon was able to come onboard and shoulder some of the sales and customer service tasks. As a result, we saw an uptick in our sales, and we were able to provide our clients with faster, more effective service than ever before.
Many Capital District business leaders were reasonably concerned as computer experts warned about possible problems when the calendar rolled from 1999 to 2000. During this crisis, PNJ Technology Partners, Inc. demonstrated leadership, and we experienced a banner year of growth. Many of the companies that sought out our help in 1999 are still with us today.
When HP acquired Compaq, it changed the game. At the time, PNJ Technology Partners, Inc. was a Compaq partner dealing mostly with personal computers and printers sales and service. The new alignment with HP brought the ability to begin providing server and storage options and service to our clients. This leap into server and storage reaffirmed the company’s commitment to keeping pace with the changing face of technology.
There’s only so much a company can do when it doesn’t have the space to expand. That is the situation we found ourselves in 2013. Our client base had multiplied and we were running low on square footage at our location. To serve our clients better and to expand our services to give them more IT support options, we moved to the New Karner Road location. This relocation has provided us with the infrastructure our employees need to deliver outstanding IT services and support.
Technology is always changing, and we are determined to stay ahead of the curve! But our old name and logo just didn’t seem to represent cutting-edge business IT support anymore. So, we decided that it was time for a fresh name and look that demonstrated our forward-thinking company culture. We love our new name and logo, but we want everyone to know that our thirty-plus year commitment to your business success has not changed. We work each day to keep your business working!
